This was actually the first piece I created that opened my eyes to the beautiful world of metals. This coat of arms represents only a few of the elements of the full. I armor of God. The Shield of Faith is represented by a beautiful antique Mercedes hub cap the a junk store owner gave to me. The Sword of the Spirit fashioned out of brass piping and electrical parts. The Belt of Truth was made from expanded metal, electrical parts and a shower knob. The Cross is welded rebar. From this piece I discovered the great wealth of repurposed materials. This particular piece is 100% repurposed/recycled materials. This piece is a wall hanging, however I made a stand that can be inserted into the ground for outside display. However this piece, as it is with all my pieces, are not made to last in the outside elements. For a brief time at outdoor events, the piece would be fine.
